Dennis & Sara

We made it!

Rock Springs WY to Montpelier ID

We are in Idaho. IDAHO! The state where Dennis has spent the last two summers, the place he's been telling me about since we first started talking. All our travel plans were made with this state in mind. It's very exciting to have crossed the state lines! We have a very few (double digits!!!!) more miles to go . . .

Why Sara is happy

clearing the air

Why haven't I been able to write?

I haven’t been able to get a blog article together, and I finally figured out why. Though . . .

The heat source that warms us twice

Ahhh, firewood!
Silvrback blog image
I suppose it would be possible to live as we do and never build a campfire - but, my, what a travesty! Forsaking something so basic and essential to humanity’s existence? Nope, not okay in our book. So, we have fires.

To have campfires, we must have firewood. Here . . .

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Oh, right - snowbirds stay south for the winter for a reason.

Howdy from the Natchez Trace in Mississipppi! We found a beautiful site here at Rocky Springs. The past couple mornings its most appealing feature was in our fire barrel!

Even with the cold, it’s nice to be in the woods again, amongst tall, tall trees. There’s a mix of hardwood and evergreen. Cedar trees are common. A couple . . .
